Not everyday goes as planned, or maybe you’ve been in the dumps for quite a while now, wondering when it’s going to end. But remember that you are NEVER alone. God is Love, and He has the ability to fill your heart with peace and joy, no matter what kind of day you’re having. If you’re struggling to see the goodness of life today, here are 17 uplifting Bible verses to fill you with peace, joy, and love.

1. “He uncovers deep things from the darkness, brings the gloom into the light.” – Job 12:22
- Let’s allow the Lord to bring light to our deepest gloom— no more trying to do everything on our own.
2. “The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted.” – Proverbs 10:24
- Oftentimes, when we are down in the dumps, we compare ourselves to the lives of others- but to compare is to despair.
- The Lord has a plan for those who love Him, but you must remain steadfast in your love for Him.
- This may not sound like one of the uplifting Bible verses you were waiting to hear, but trust me- it is.
3. “Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have.” – Ecclesiastes 6:9
- At the end of the day, this should bring you peace, because what you have is enough.
- We must not covet what does not rightfully belong to us, for if it is meant to be, it will be.
4. “The sign of a good heart is a happy face; withdrawn and perplexed is the toiling schemer.” — Sirach 13:26
- I love this verse because its logic is almost childlike.
- A child trusts a happy and kind face but fears one that is neither.
- Bring joy into your heart by putting a smile on your face knowing that the Lord is with you- always.
5. “For the worship of nameless idols is the source and cause and result of every evil.” – Wisdom 14:27
- If you’re looking for peace in your life, take a look at the people and things you are idolizing.
- These things & people can separate us from God- and where there is separation, evil often creeps in.
- There is no peach where evil is lurking nearby.

- This is a reminder that no matter the setback, God will keep His promises.
- He loves you beyond measure and with no conditions.

7. “But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.” – Daniel 9:9
- Child, I don’t know about you, but this one gives me all the feels: peace, joy & love.
8. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is my life’s refuge; of whom should I be afraid?” – Psalm 27:1
- This verse ALONE is the ULTIMATE confidence booster EVER!
- It’s beyond uplifting- it cuts through our greatest fears.
- EVERYONE needs a few uplifting Bible verses a day to keep them afloat.
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
- Ok technically it’s not a verse- but WHO CARES? It’s BEAUTIFUL, just like our God.
- He is truly awesome and deserving of our awe, our yearning, and our worship of HIM, and Him alone.
“Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7
- Okay another two-verser for you- but who cares?
- This screams peace. Pray to the Lord your God, and allow Him to put your heart at ease.
11. “They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on eagles’ wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
- Clearly, the Lord is our very strength, our uplifter, our God.
- Let these uplifting Bible verses today remind you that the Lord is greater than the bad day- or even the tough season- you are going through.

12. “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice in it and be glad.” – Psalm 118:24
- I always love when we get to sing this verse in one of the hymns at Church because you can’t even feel sad, it’s not possible.
- You’re just happy for today, and so grateful to God for giving you another chance to live it.
13. “A joyful heart is the health of the body, but a depressed spirit dries up the bones.” – Proverbs 17:22
- I meannnn, if you don’t want dried-up bones, you have to work on having a joyful heart! So let’s get to it!
14. “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.” – John 15:9
- Throughout the course of our lives, we must stay in union with the Lord- our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
- There has been no suffering like His suffering, so remember: we are ALL loved, and can overcome anything through Christ, who strengthens us.
15. “So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:13
- The greatest of these has to be love- because God is love, and God is greater than all things.
- So, give it up for Him, and give it all to Him.
16. “But you, man of God, avoid all this. Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.” – 1 Timothy 6:11
- You can be down in the dumps or having a rough day, but how much longer will you let it rule over you?
