Everyone knows, after that third plate on Thanksgiving, it’s Christmas time… duhh. But I don’t know, is it really? When to put up the tree, decorate the house/yard, or scare… I mean surprise your kids/siblings with elves around the house is up for debate, so I won’t speak on that because there is someone far more important than all the background noise.
I can’t even lie to you, Christmas season is by far my favorite time of the year. The air smells different, the covers feel even cozier, and it just seems everyone’s in high spirits. However, as Christians, it’s important to remember “the reason for the season.” I’ll make this blog post short and sweet and leave you with two reminders:
Your Reason for the Season is Jesus!
- The Virgin Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit
- During this season we await the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
- Don’t you forget it

It’s Not Just About the Gifts, but Jesus, the Babe!
- He might be a babe, but that babe is God
- I’m sure you’ve heard it many times as a Christian, but I’ll say it again, He is more important than any gift
- Keep Christ in Christmas!
” The great challenge left to us is to cut through all the glitz and glam of the season that has grown increasingly secular and commercial, and be reminded of the beauty of the One who is Christmas.”
