If you come from a Christian family and are raising your kids in the faith, Easter is such a fun and joyful time. You really get to see their eyes light up, so here are three sweet Easter ideas for your sweet kiddos.
Easter Trivia
A common thing to do on Easter with kids is, of course, an Easter Egg Hunt, but this is just another idea that I think will also be fun and engaging.
You can come up with questions using the Bible about Jesus Christ’s Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Second Coming.
The questions you come up with should be simple enough for little ones to understand and exciting enough to make them want to shout out the answers while they’re on the edge of their seats.
But, obviously… we have to add a sweet treat! You can either do this before an Easter Egg Hunt, where whoever gets the question right can run out to hunt for eggs first and get a head start… orrrr you can pass out Easter eggs after each question is answered correctly in a series of rounds.
This is just an idea that you can mix up and incorporate into your Easter Tradition with your kids, one that will inspire more learning and a deeper yearning for the Lord.

Easter “Mission” Cards
Like an Easter Egg Hunt, these Mission Cards will also involve a type of hunt, but justtttt a wee bit different.
Give all the kids “Mission Cards,” where they are to complete a task in order to get a piece of their Easter prize.
These tasks could either lead up to one big prize or sweet little prizes after a mission is completed.
A few examples of a Mission Card could be:
- “Find a Crucifix hidden in this room.”
- “Spin around in a circle 10 times, and then find a Bible wrapped in blue paper.”
- “Find the pink rosary wrapped around a tree branch outside.”
- “Open the mailbox and look for the hidden piece of Scripture.”
I don’t know about you, but I would love to be a kid doing this because it’s fun and time-consuming. If there are enough cards, they won’t be looking for the next activity to do, and they get a sweet treat at the end!

Easter PUZZLE Hunt
Okay, hear me out- the kids might raise their eyebrows at you when you say “puzzle” instead of “egg” hunt, but just go with it.
You’re going to buy a puzzle or two on Amazon, along with Easter eggs that you probably already have or need to pick up.
Instead of filling these eggs up with candy, fill them up with a puzzle piece from the puzzle.
Before the hunt begins, let them know how many eggs are either scattered around the house, or just let them grab all of them in the yard.
When they have finished gathering all the eggs, they can put the puzzle together and win a big prize at the end! The kid in me is screamingggg- I would even do this as a grown adult (but put add some money in my eggs child!).

Each activity is sure to bring joy to their little big hearts and will give you a much-needed break. After the festivities, candy, and other treats, they’ll be too tired to give you a hard time, which means it’s nap time- and nap time = you time 😉.
If you try any of these ideas out with your kids, be sure to leave a comment, or even add any other suggestions that other moms can see and use for Easter with their kids.
Have a joyful Easter, and God Bless!
[…] If you have kids, of course, you want to make it more fun and special for them and might even partake in common activities that we see on Easter. But it’s important that they, too, know what Easter is all about. There are ways to have fun and to also teach them about this beautiful celebration. […]
